Sa Tuna: The most beautiful cove of Begur?
Sa Tuna is a very beautiful and picturesque cove on the coast of Begur. This is an old fishing village, nestled against the cliffs covered with pines, which benefits from the protection of a large rock (in Encalladora). With a depth of 16-18 meters, you can practice snorkelling in crystal clear waters. We must of course respect the boundaries of mooring boats that come here seeking shelter from winds and southeast.
The place is very popular among Catalans. Sa Tuna is not too busy off season but is still alive. There is a small pebble beach that invites you to swim in the bay. The place is magical. One has the impression of being at the end of the world. The small size of the cove (the beach is only 80 meters) and village (three restaurants and a hotel, plus a few white houses fisherman), make it feel special and far from mass tourism.
The village is still frequented by fishermen, and it is not uncommon to see boats equipped for fishing lamplight.
